Premier Well Represented at The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (AMDA) Annual Convention

Premier clinicians, support team and leadership attended the AMDA annual convention in Tampa, FL. They commented it was wonderful to catch up with colleagues and meet new people who are devoted to providing high-quality, resident-centered care to individuals residing in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, assisted-living and independent living centers. The educational sessions were stimulating and it was informative to meet with the conference exhibitors and learn about their offerings.

Comments from Premier’s attendees give some insights into the benefits of dedicating time to getting away from the day-to-day grind re-energize and learn new things.

Barb Frye, RN Premier Chief Clinical Services Officer
“I enjoyed the networking and connections with various providers. Additionally, it was helpful to preview the various offerings and resources during the designated exhibit times.”

Ryan Carlton, NP
“I enjoyed getting with and talking to some of the other providers in similar positions locally as well as other areas of the country. I enjoyed the dinners that I attended, meeting face to face with those that I only had heard by name. I learned about the clinical practice guidelines that AMDA had previously compiled and has been improving on. I plan to look these over in more detail and incorporate them into my practice.”

Jamie Smith, NP Premier Chief Education & Compliance Officer
“I enjoyed networking and spending time with the Premier team/family. Look forward to attending PALTC24 in San Antonio, TX!”

Kendra Byler, Premier Scribe and Future RN
“As a scribe with Premier and a future RN, I enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the post-acute space, meet people with the knowledge I hope to one day attain, and build on topics I've learned in school. Hoping to further my education and become a FNP and this was exactly the experience I needed to know I am on the right track.”

Chris Darling, Premier Senior Business Advisor and Data Analyst
“This year I particularly enjoyed the conference’s management tracks and learning more about Medicare’s goal to have all Medicare beneficiaries in a value-based payment track by 2030. I always look forward to meeting with old friends and making new ones at this meeting.”

Holly Roy, PA-C Premier Chief Operating Officer
“The AMDA PALTC23 conference was inspirational. I met many people with whom I've built relationships in person, and it was nice to truly connect. I learned exciting information from other members of the post-acute community that I will take with me and use to further the growth and quality of care in our practice. I look forward to 2024 in Texas and hope to continue to meet and learn from others in our community.”

Brad Goad, DO Premier Founder & CEO
“I am always happy to give members of my team a break from the daily routine to spend time together at this annual convention to learn more about our specialty. Sometimes our doctors, nurses, physicians and the people who support them feel they are isolated and facing challenges alone. Coming together with other dedicated individuals who dedicated their careers to caring for our complex patient population gives them the opportunity to learn they are not facing the ups and downs of post-acute/long-term care by themselves.”
